The theme song, “Dream Warriors”, was written and performed by the American heavy metal band Dokken. The single was a success and a decision was made to include heavy metal songs in the soundtrack of the sequels.

Official Releases

In the opening sequence of the original VHS release of the film, a hard rock instrumental version of the song “Quiet Cool” plays. When the film was released on DVD, “Quiet Cool” is replaced by “Into the Fire” by Dokken which was the song in the original theatrical release.
